Tween Manager

Inspect active tweens and runtime pool statistics

Overview

Tween Manager owns Evo Tween's runtime updates. It is created automatically before the first scene as [EvoTween Manager] and survives scene changes. You don't need to add it to scenes or prefabs.

Select it in the Hierarchy during Play Mode to inspect the scheduler and its pools.

Runtime Inspector

The Runtime section shows the number of alive tweens and the active list's allocated capacity. Alive includes paused instances that are still scheduled.

The Pools section helps you distinguish new instance creation from reuse:

FieldMeaning
Currently PooledTween instances available for reuse.
Combined LimitCombined allocated pool capacity. Despite the label, this is not a fixed cap; pools can grow.
Tweens CreatedTotal tween instances created during the managed-domain lifetime.
Pool ReusesTimes an existing instance was rented from a pool.
Pool ReturnsTimes an instance was returned to a pool.
Pool DiscardsLegacy counter; the current pools retain peak concurrency instead of discarding overflow.

Alive Tweens lists active entries with their target, playback status, update phase, time mode, speed, progress, delay, and loop information. Property-bound entries also show their property key.

These pool counters describe tracked tween instances, not every allocation or byte used by the package. See Performance for interpreting them alongside the Profiler.

Public API

Use TweenManager in Evo.Tween. Debug snapshots use TweenDebugInfo from Evo.Tween.Diagnostics.

MemberDescription
TweenManager.InstanceCurrent manager, or null outside Play Mode.
AliveTweenCount, ActiveTweenCapacityScheduler count and capacity.
PooledTweenCount, PooledTweenCapacityAvailable instances and combined pool capacity.
CreatedTweenCount, ReusedTweenCount, ReturnedTweenCountCumulative pool activity counters.
DiscardedTweenCountLegacy discard counter.
GetAliveTween(int index)Returns a diagnostic snapshot; check IsValid before using it.

Use the index only for the current inspection. Entries can move as other tweens are removed. Keep a TweenHandle if you need to control a particular code tween.

Detailed diagnostics may format strings, so avoid polling every entry in a performance-critical update loop.
